Innovative HVAC for city buses: the Stuttgart Demonstration

The seventh EBSF_2 demonstration showcase took place in Stuttgart on 18 October 2017 and attracted over 30 public transport stakeholders, to exchange knowledge and experience on innovative HVAC for city buses. The event was hosted by EvoBus GmbH in in collaboration with local operator and demonstration partner Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG.

The Stuttgart demonstration focuses on an innovative system for heating, ventilation and air conditioning for city buses with the objective to reduce energy consumption compared to a belt-driven system. EvoBus and Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG conducted tests in real operational conditions in Stuttgart with preliminary results leading to approx. 12% reduction in overall vehicle energy consumption in cold seasons. The supporting presentations for the event are now available for download below.
