From 15 to 21 September, EBSF_2 will showcase its contribution to cleaner and more efficient public transport by bus at an exhibition organised by Revolve Media to celebrate the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK. The exhibition features sustainable mobility solutions on cubes displayed at the Esplanade of the European Parliament. After 21 September, the cubes will be moved in front of Gare du Nord, Brussels, and will remain on display until 15 October 2016.
Since its creation in 2002, EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK has become an institution. Taking place from 16 to 22 September, this one-week campaign aims at highlighting the importance of sustainable mobility.
Other UITP European research projects will be featured including ZeEUS (Zero Emission Urban Bus Systems, ELIPTIC (Electrification of public transport in cities) and CIVITAS (Cleaner and better transport in cities). Also on 15 September, UITP Secretary General Alain Flausch and Umberto Guida, Director of Research and Innovation at UITP, will speak at the Revolve Mobility Debate 2016, presenting mobility solutions that help reduce CO2 emissions. This debate will be broadcasted live on Twitter Periscope. At the end of EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK, new electric buses will be inaugurated in the framework of the ZeEUS project in Cagliari, Italy and Barcelona, Spain.
